“Computer
Vision Online is a student-run initiative which is committed to centralize
current knowledge in the field of Computer Vision". Computer Vision is a
rich and rewarding technology which has migrated from academic institutions to
industrial laboratories, and onward into deployable systems. Currently,
different institutions work on developing new techniques or using standard
methods for their specific needs. However, there is a demand for a central
online source to pile up current knowledge in this field. Our goal in Computer
Vision Online is to create an online community for people who are working on
Computer Vision, so they can share their information and possibly use other
researcher's achievements and prevent the cycle of reinventing the wheel. To
accomplish this goal, currently we have listed different source codes,
commercial or free softwares and datasets. In addition to those, we provide
information about upcoming events and job openings related to computer
vision. Also, we have started writing
online books that covers different areas of Computer Vision. The vision of
those books is to provide a general knowledge about different aspects of
computer vision. The administrators of Computer Vision Online are graduate
students (Amin Sarafraz and Steven Cadavid) at the University
of Miami in Florida with expertise in computer vision. If
you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us at:
contact@ComputerVisionOnline.com or leave us a message here.”
